As we get older, particularly women, we become invisible.  If we are noticed at all assumptions are made about our abilities.  Often we buy into that myth ourselves.  But it doesn’t need to be that way.  We don’t know who we are until we see what we can do and exercising the mind and body are keys to success at any age.

When Joseph Campbell coined the term “Follow your bliss” he was talking about the way to achieve happiness. Happiness is a state of mind and following your bliss is how you get there. To follow your bliss you must first know what it is and then have the courage to go after it. There are always challenges and road blocks but resiliency, purpose and a sense of optimism will serve you well.
